Roderick (Rod) Maclean - He held the rank of L.A.C. (Leading aircraft man).

Served in the Royal Air Force during WW2 from 1940-1945.

Stationed in North Africa (1941-1944) under the command of Field Marshall Montgomery 8th Army. He fought in the battle of El Alamein which was victorious for the allies and a turning point in the War.

Rod Maclean served in the civil defence of Britain from 1939-1940 before joining the RAF.
