Narrative
Edward was born in summer 1873 and christened the following summer, the fifth son of Eliza Thiele. The 1881 Canada census found him living with his mother and half-siblings at Burnside Road.[1]
Edward William Bellamy passed away in winter 1946.[2]
Although christened as such, there is little evidence of Edward being fathered by Dr. George Bellamy, who had gone to England in mid-1871. This is furthered by half-brother Francis' obituary, which states that Francis was "... the last and youngest member of the family of the late Dr. George Bellamy."[3]
